Please note that at this meeting there will three presentations from members of the group. This information may be of interest to others in your organization, and you are encouraged to invite them. However, seating is limited, so please register early.

Scott Kramer of American Eagle will present two topics: Macro substitution in the framework model, which involves passing parameters down from the report to the query subject as a way to speed up queries. He will also discuss how to use the Audit database to monitor run / complete / success / fail status of triggered reports.

Linda Torquato, Manager of Business Intelligence at the Institute for Transfusion Medicine, will present a Metric Studio Scorecarding application that is being developed for senior management. This application will facilitate Business Performance Management by allowing decision makers to monitor and analyze their key performance indicators.

Rich Nemeth of American Eagle will discuss the use of 8.4 to save report files to an output location. How to use Event Studio to call a web service that moves files from an output location to a new server location and emailing users that files have been moved.
How AE used the Cognos Upgrade Manager to help validate reports when moving from 8.1 to 8.4.

There is a $10 fee for attending the meeting to cover costs.
